ATI Industrial Automation, the leading supplier of robotic end-effectors, has developed a new series of Compliant Utility Couplers for automation applications where there is a need to change utilities such as fluid, air and electrical signals. The modular body design is capable of mounting any of ATI’s standard add-on modules and is designed to improve cycle time and add flexibility to any production cell. The Master side connection features a unique compliance mechanism that allows for large tooling misalignments, and ensures proper utility connection. Contact ATI to determine if there is already a design that meets your requirements. We welcome the opportunity to design a Utility Coupler for your application.

ATI Industrial Automation, the leading supplier of Robotic Tool Changers, has developed a line of Heavy Automation Robotic Tool Changers for the resistance welding market and medium- to heavy-duty material handling. Power, coolant, air, servo, DeviceNetTM, and signal features are built into separate modules that use a common mounting pattern, allowing easy maintenance. The Heavy Automation line’s fail-safe locking mechanism typically exceeds robot load specifications. Weight and size are kept as small as possible without reducing reliability or performance. The Heavy Automation line can take on dynamic moment loads and maintain utility functions during high-acceleration moves.

Goodbye PMA, Hello Triflex R for Robotic Applications

New Cartesian Robots Offer Full Speed at Long Stroke
Yamaha’s new NXY Series Cartesian robots are based on a new concept that allows full speed to be maintained at long stroke. These robots use a nut rotation-type hollow shaft motor for the X-axis with no restriction on speed even when using a long stroke. NXY Series robots offer a 2000 mm stroke/maximum speed 1200 mm/sec. and a maximum payload of 25 kg (XY 2-axes). A highly reliable resolver for the positioning system, a high performance guide, and a rigid frame make them extremely durable and resistant to environmental conditions.

As the world's second-largest automotive parts manufacturer, DENSO has been a pioneer and industry leader in robot design and manufacturing since the 1960s. DENSO is also the world's largest user of small assembly robots, with over 15,000 DENSO robots employed in its own manufacturing facilities. DENSO offers a wide range of 4-, 5- and 6-axis robots for payloads up to 20 kg, reaches from 350 to 1300 mm and repeatability to within ±0.015 mm, plus easy-to-use software, controllers and teaching pendants. ANSI and CE compliance allows global deployment. UL-listed models are available for both the U.S. and Canada.
